Roles & Responsibilities
– Design, develop, and test new backend features for the Ansible Automation Platform.
– Collaborate with Quality Engineers to troubleshoot bugs and ensure feature-complete solutions.
– Participate in product release cycles, deploying code across integration, staging, and production environments, and integrate with CI/CD tools.
– Conduct software updates, peer code reviews, testing, and CVE analysis.
– Mentor and collaborate with fellow engineers in a highly cooperative team atmosphere, participating in peer code reviews.
– Engage in the Agile scrum process, demos, and check-ins with Product Management and stakeholders to align on use cases and plan initiatives.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
– 6 months+ of experience in software development using Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework.
– Strong object-oriented programming skills and a willingness to learn container and cloud technologies.
– Familiarity with deployment models, GitHub, Python testing tools like pytest, Linux, SQL, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and container management platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker).
– Understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and configuration management tools (e.g., Hashicorp Terraform).
– Passion for open-source technologies, with prior experience in open-source communities being a plus.
– Strong communication skills and experience working directly with stakeholders.
– A proactive attitude towards mentorship and collaboration.
